This project will be focused on the design of proposals for increasing student engagement in the Industrial Engineering Department. The Pontificia Universidad Javeriana applied the NSSE survey (National Survey of Students Engagement) to the students of Engineering (Civil, Electronic, Industrial, Systems), Nursery and Business Administration. This important international survey evaluates and collects valuable information about the actual participation of first graders and above, in programs and activities that the university offers, in order to enhance the knowledge, learnings and mostly, the student s personal development. The project will be oriented specifically to the Industrial Engineering students and will have three principal phases among the process; first, the diagnostic analysis to evaluate how low are the engagement levels of the students and realize which are the indicators with the lowest scores, the design of a proposal as an action plan to improve the students engagement following the indicator that we found relevant, and evaluate the impact of the proposal to the Industrial Engineering Department, through a simulation model, identyfing efectiveness, improvements and results of the proposals made.
