This work has as aim to determine the elements that have an impact in the public university administrative personnel labor satisfaction in the city of Manizales; a questionnaire adapted from the (JDI) labor satisfaction survey and Xavier Gonzalez Laskibar adaptation work, carried out in 2015 in Spain’s public university. Due to the fact that public institutions administrative personnel, in addition to be under special contract conditions like merit contest, are also known for the absence of teaching hierarchy applied to this group, so, this makes necessary the use of research about labor fulfillment in the personnel mentioned before and the factors involved. For this reason, 8 sociodemographic variables with possible influence were identified: genre, age, educational level, qualification, experience, contract modifications, social stratum and contract nature. Of which, according to the results; the following 4 will be involved in the staff labor satisfaction: experience, genre, contract nature and age. In addition to this, it is important to mention the following outstanding findings: female genre predominates with 70% representiveness, which show a greater level of satisfaction in the aspects related to people with higher labor hierarchy, their personality and their co – workers behavior. The greater is the experience, the bigger is the number of people located in higher satisfaction rates, in terms of institutional chances of promotion. Apart from the employees’ nature of the contract, labor satisfaction in terms of the role in the developed administrative tasks and how efficient their administrative performance has been in general, are located on the top of the fulfilling scale.
