El poder político de las iglesias evangélicas. Análisis de discurso de los comunicados emitidos por algunas iglesias cristianas pentecostales, frente al plebiscito por la paz en Colombia
The objective of this research work was to analyze the speeches that crossed the communiques issued by some Pentecostal Christian churches that were in favor and against the plebiscite to endorse the peace agreements and that circulated massively through the media and networks in 2016. The foregoing, due to the tremendous influence that these statements had on the decision of several evangelical Christians months before the endorsement of the peace accords through plebiscite action. The methodology that the researcher carried out was that of discourse analysis, from a Foucauldian perspective. The criteria used to carry out this analysis were those of multivoiceness, semiotics, resistance and power, and speech. During the first phase of the investigation, the author gives an account of the historical, political, and social articulations that allow the communiques issued by the Cirsitanian Pentecostal churches to emerge during the time of the 2016 plebiscite for peace. In the second phase, the author analyses three statements with the purpose of highlighting the speeches that passed through these texts, and evaluating the different impacts of said speeches in the context of the 2016 plebiscite. Finally, the researcher crosses the speeches found in the analyzed statements with his experience of the plebiscite in order to account for the multiple ways in which their political decisions reproduced power logic.
