The present investigation aims to reflect upon the constructions of identity and the social body within three narratives by contemporary Colombian writers. Through the understanding of theoretical authors form various disciplines and alongside the narratives, I have drawn some conclusions about the ways in which the main characters of the stories question their identities as women from the contemporary middle class Colombian society. As a response to these questionings, the main characters adopt new possibilities of experiencing their corporality and identities, which aim to break through the social dynamics of the sexualized body, women’s social roll, and the transit and experience of places, among others.
