From the need to have strategies aimed at minimizing the adverse environmental impacts generated by tourism in the Laguna de los Tunjos, PNN Sumapaz, and involving significant experiences of raising awareness about the importance and vulnerability of the páramo; The objective of this document is to develop the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of this activity, understanding the latter as a tourism management instrument based on a systemic and interdisciplinary approach. For this reason, the Complex Networks methodology was applied, in order to identify and properly manage the environmental impacts caused in Laguna de los Tunjos, so that a sustainable ecotourism can be developed with the purpose of conserving a strategic ecosystem such as it is the páramo. In Laguna de los Tunjos, the most significant impacts found were soil loss or erosion, decrease in vegetation cover, social rejection, habitat disturbance, displacement or removal of fauna, and increased cultural and recreational opportunities. Likewise, the recommendations to minimize the negative impacts determined were, a sub-zoning and delimitation of spaces, the construction and adaptation of light infrastructure, solid waste management, ecological restoration, the participation of the local population in the tourist value chain, restoration of fauna habitat and implementation of environmental education processes.
