Existe hasta la fecha un amplio panorama de conocimientos respectoal estudio de la Cooperacion Internacional para el Desarrollo y susrespectivas modalidades. Incluso, para la Cooperacion InternacionalSur-Sur, una de aquellas menos analizadas, tambien se cuenta conun numero considerable de produccion documental, con un enfasisparticular en los dialogos y avances que se han dado en el marco delSistema de Naciones Unidas y en la region de America Latina y elCaribe. No obstante, han sido pocos los trabajos que recorren deforma detallada la historia, evolucion y avances conceptuales respectoa esta. Este articulo contiene los resultados de una investigacion quepresenta la evolucion historica, conceptual y los principales avancesen materia de Cooperacion Sur-Sur con especial enfasis en la regionlatinoamericana, de forma que permita aportar a la comprensionhistorica, espacial y temporal de la Cooperacion Sur-Sur y facilitarmayores y mejores avances que permitan identificar nuevos camposde investigacion y posibilidades para esta area del conocimiento. Nowadays there is a wide panorama of knowledge regarding the studyof International Cooperation for Development and its respectivemodalities. Even for one of the least analyzed cases, the South-SouthCooperation, there is an important volume of literature, with aparticular focus on the dialogues and advances achieved by the UnitedNations´ system and in the Latin American and Caribbean region.However, detailed studies about the history, evolution and advancesof this topic are scarce. This study seeks to organize and present thehistorical and conceptual evolution of South-South Cooperation andits main achievements, focusing on the Latin-American region, inorder to contribute towards the historical, spatial and temporarycomprehension of South-South Cooperation to facilitate biggerand better advances that permit to identify new research fields andpossibilities for this area of knowledge.
