The aim of this work is to present a bibliometric analysis with the published research work's on harvest and postharvest of coffee, conducted by the National Coffee Research Center – Cenicafe. The bibliographic data base consists of 495 scientific papers published between 1976 and 2015, the database was then categorized in: harvest, wet coffee process, coffee drying and by-product management, expressed in percentages of 29%, 29%, 18% and 24% of particip ation respectively. Adocumental typology analysis exhibited that posters, seminars and conferences conform the m ajority of the total publications, followed by papers in journals representing more than 58 documents in the same time period. There were identified the ubjects of research, their theoretical bases and the technical solutions that Cenicafe has developed and given to the coffee growers, during four decades on each of the named sub-processes The analysis shows a dynamic feedback between the technical and conceptual construction with the technological solutions, and it serves as a potential input for the management of new research projects, focused on the development of technical innovations in the different study areas. Furthermore it is suggested for future investigations, to study the level of adoption of each identified technology, the role of each of the people involved on the management and appropriation of the new technologies and techniques, and the outlines of technological transference of Cenicafe in the harvest and post-harvest of coffee.
