Colombia has positioned itself as an entrepreneur country in Latin America, which has politics and laws that promoted, not only the creation and growth of entrepreneurships, but also their sustainability. However, the business discontinuity which is a synonym of mortality, it’s a problem that affects the Colombian entrepreneurship in the 4 different process stages, defined by the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor GEM as potential entrepreneur, nascent entrepreneur, new entrepreneur and established entrepreneur; the discontinuity rate is higher in the last two stages. The GEM has studied this phenomenon, to establish the causes of this high rate, and it has determined internal factors associated with businesses operations, external or referred to context, typical of the entrepreneur or businessman according to the stage in which they are, being this last one, the less studied phenomenon. Therefore, this research seeks to understand from the entrepreneur perspective, what happens with the entrepreneurial transit, and determine which factors, associated to their existence, has an influence in the business maturation. For that, this research worked with two businessmen, as study case, in the stages new entrepreneur and stablished entrepreneur, who through the narrative of their personal and occupational life, allowed to understand, how the different development moments, family and working contact networks, and previous experiences, had an influence in the decision making of their companies and at the same time reflected the stage they are. This research generated the design of a support route for entrepreneurial transit, focused on the entrepreneur, which seek to complement those initiatives generated by different ecosystem organizations, supporting the business strengthening.
