This article as a result of the research called Life experiences of the Catatumbo teacher around the armed conflict and its pedagogical practice, whose purpose was to analyze the experiences of teachers in the context of the armed conflict and its repercussions on the pedagogical practice in the educational institutions of Catatumbo. The results show the transformation of attitudes of isolation, anxiety, reserve and prevention, reflected both personally or professionally, as well as in the community context, even reaching the abandonment of office and / or extracurricular activities that could put their physical and psychological integrity at risk and emotional. The research was developed from a qualitative perspective, under a biographical-narrative approach of life stories and semi-structured interviews; The systematization of the experience involved three stages, namely: interviews and life stories, analysis and interpretation of the information. Finding primarily that under a climate of fear in an area that coexists with the armed conflict; These practices are truncated, limiting the sharing of academic knowledge, and directly affecting their pedagogical practices without deepening bonds of trust.
