This paper aims to determine how the current president of the United States, Donald Trump, instrumented the migratory issue to reach the presidency and the consequences that his securitized speech has had on the population of this country. First, it is established that there are two concepts of great importance to be able to carry out this work. These two concepts are populism and securitization. Understanding these two concepts as the basis of this work, a research and analysis of political and media discourses was conducted to answer the research question. In the first chapter a review of the political speech of Donald Trump is made regarding the migratory issue, to later see how this speech impact on the image that the Americans have on the Latin and Muslim immigrants, since these two groups have been repeatedly attacked by the speeches of Donald Trump. Following the review and analysis of these issues, the second chapter continues to establish what level of support has this securitized speech against the speeches of Trump opponents in the presidential elections. For this we analyze with statistical figures the level of support that Trump had for the primary elections in which the republican representative is chosen and investigates on the opinion that was forged between the American community on the candidate. Finally, this chapter looks at the results of the general election in which Trump came to the White House. Finally, in the third chapter we see the impact of Trump's speech and political actions on the Latin and Muslim community of this country. It also reviews the pronouncements of the different States and International Organizations that have spoken about the subject.
