El presente articulo plantea una concepcion de la formacion de maestros en la escuela normal, que considera las particularidades que configuran el perfil profesional del maestro, e identifica las caracteristicas necesarias para su desempeno profesional y los problemas y limitaciones actuales de la profesion, lo cual permite determinar las demandas al proceso de formacion de maestros en la escuela normal.
