Since there are no programs with empirical evidence to prevent and intervene in antisocial behavior in Colombia, the following question was proposed: What components should a program for the prevention of antisocial behavior in institutionalized children and adolescents have in Colombia? To answer this, a systematic review of different documents focused on the definition, prevention and intervention of antisocial behaviors in children and adolescents was carried out taking into account the PRISMA criteria of Moher et al. (2009). In this review, 15 empirical studies were selected based on previously established criteria and studied through a content analysis, in order to determine the components that a program for the prevention of antisocial behavior in institutionalized children and adolescents should have. It was found that there are not enough empirical studies that show prevention and intervention of antisocial behavior focused on institutionalized children and adolescents in Colombia and Latin America. Additionally, the characteristics and components that a prevention guide adapted to Colombian context should have were identified. Therefore, a guide was designed for institutions focused on the secondary prevention of antisocial behaviors in children and adolescents, that works with children, adolescents and caregivers, taking into account the elements found in the empirically validated programs found in the systematic review.
