Abstract: This article is an approach to the interculturality processes in the peasant-mestizos, indigenous and Afro-descendant communities settled in the municipalities of Santander de Quilichao, El Tambo and Patia, in the department of Cauca – Colombia, with the purpose of recognizing and making visible the identity of these rural communities related to educational and agricultural processes, within a regulation that protects the rights of rural inhabitants. Accompaniment was made considering the potentialities and tensions related to cultural diversity. In turn, this process allowed to recognize and highlight community bets for a rural higher education that promotes the Vivir of the country cultures.
