There are debates about the methodological positions that are currently used in the teaching-learning processes in soccer. Based on this controversy, this article will present a vision of some of them. The analysis will be concentrated in two main positions, one that is related to traditional methods and the other that emphasizes global methodology. Fortunately, there are many studies that provide reliable information for adequate teaching, taking globality, according to the experts, as the determining factor for integral development, a position that is gaining more and more space in the analytical strategy. Next, the diverse positions of both methods according to diverse authors will be expressed, trying to bring to the pedagogical reflection to the trainer, in relation to the development in the creation of his activities.
