There is evidence that shows that living and working conditions have a greater impact on people's health than health care as such. Aspects such as the type of home, income, activities and work and educational tensions are factors that can make a region, area or population with particular special characteristics healthier than another. That is why when speaking of social determinants of health, it is to approach a strategy that seeks to apply accumulated scientific knowledge in relation to the ultimate causes or structures of health problems and to recover health strategies for all [1 ], in this case the population with disabilities in Santiago de Cali, based on the 2008 record for the Location and Characterization of People with Disabilities. Objective. Establish the relationship between the social determinants of health and disability in Santiago de Cali. Materials and methods: descriptive study with a correlational phase. For the interpretation, a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the structural and intermediate social determinants of health and their relationship with disability was carried out. Results: it is established that the population with disabilities in Santiago de Cali, there is a higher prevalence of housing in stratum 1 and 2, low percentage of educational level, mainly in higher education, there are more people with disabilities of mixed race, the subsidized regime is the The main health affiliation system, the rate of people who work is lower than that of people without disabilities and people with disabilities in other countries, with incomes lower than the current legal monthly minimum wage. Regarding disability, it was identified that the main deficiencies and limitations are oriented to the human body movement, nervous system, visual system and the cardiorespiratory system; It is attributed to lack of money as the main cause of non-attendance to rehabilitation services, justifying the average of 12 years without receiving treatment for 8 Social Determinants of Health (DSS) and disability in Santiago de Cali, 2012. rehabilitation Conclusions: evidences social inequity for people with disabilities in Santiago de Cali, confirming that health is linked to socioeconomic and sociocultural factors.
