In the present article, an investigation is presented on the resilience in the supply chains and their evolution over time. Resilience is a fundamental method for making decisions in the prevention and planning of recovery strategies in situations that may affect as chains are more vulnerable both internally and externally in organizations, as well as the capacity they have to recover according to their strategies or designs of supply chain action plans, this to minimize the impact of an interruption through design approaches, which allows the supply chain to adequately respond to disruptive events. Resilient supply chains not only have the ability to manage risks, but can also position themselves better than competitors to take advantage of interruptions that may occur.
