Marcela Lopez holds a PhD in geography from the Free University of Berlin. The book reviewed here is pertinent in critically addressing the problem of the disconnection of drinking water services that affects a large number of people in the city of Medellin. The argument of the text is summarized here, paying attention to the novel methodological approach that incorporates concepts from Urban Political Ecology and Critical Geography. The thematic contribution of the book is acknowledged and some argumentative limitations are pointed out.
