The arrival of new technologies such as virtual reality which has had a significant growth since 2016 [1], augmented reality, with its advance in education, medicine and entertainment[2] ; 360° videos and the new interest by some companies to produce films with this technology [3], have created the need in audio to adapt, in order to create an immersive sound field . One of the advances made in this field is the binaural audio, which is obtained by means of a binaural head or dummy head; due to the high cost of these, few people can own one, so they have created more affordable and even free solutions such as binaural spatialization plugins which, through digital signal processing (DSP), add spatiality in terms of localization and distance to monophonic or stereophonic audios. In this project we evaluate the localization and distance accuracy offered by three plugins (two of the most popular in the industry and one available for free) compared to recordings made with a binaural head, through subjective tests or listening tests. in order to determine which of these (plugins) is the most recommended in spatial audio applications for audio production.
