The main objective was the determination of cooperative access to credit to low-income families in the municipality of El Espinal, Colombia. A probabilistic model was used on the variables related to solidarity finance and the relationship of sustainable development as part of the operation to achieve its objective. This research is basically focused on detecting each factor that may be associated with the access of microcredits of low-income families in El Espinal and that affect their risk. The constant update of the market, climatic conditions, commercial growth both inside and outside the municipality and its early growth, influence the identification of new risks and new variables that can affect said credit granting and in addition to this, a portfolio that has been growing in recent years. El Espinal has undergone transformation processes, in terms of modernization in commercial and tourist growth, however, these transformations are not sufficient to improve and increase the viability in the prompt and easy access to the microcredit of the cooperatives belonging to the sector of the municipality of El Espinal, since the enormous distance between the goals of social development and the real possibilities of reaching them is clearly demonstrated.
