Social competences understood as those that promote greater interaction and assertiveness in ontext are a more than necessary topic in society and essential in the teaching vocation that carries within itself great responsibilities and profound challenges, in this framework of ideas, the objective of This article was to analyze the social competences of one hundred university teachers in the city of Bogota. At the methodological level, the research process was developed under a quantitative approach, non-experimental and cross-sectional design, the survey technique was used, previously validated by seven expert professionals, reaching 96% reliability. Likewise, the ANOVA analysis model was used. Based on the above, it was determined that the social competences of greatest relevance for teacher performance are empathy, active listening, teamwork and assertiveness, which allows the profile of socially competent teachers to be made visible, allowing the impact to be appreciated of teaching performance in educational practice.
