This document seeks to carry out an analysis with recent data on child labor in Colombia based on DANE statistics and data from the Ministry of Labor in its SIRITI information system, to identify why high figures are maintained in our country, focused on the construction and infrastructure sector, and show the levels in the urban or rural sectors, the causes of this and the possible solutions that could be considered to achieve its eradication. The starting point of this development is to understand that child labor is a topic and problem of doctrinal and legal importance worldwide, especially from the current vision of labor law and Social Security, which it considers within its objects of study. corporate social responsibility, as well as global trends of inclusion of the private sector in the control or supervision with adequate due diligence that leads us to respect human rights in the economic activity carried out by the Company, especially in its supply chains where foci of child labor can be generated outside the regulations contemplated in the Substantive Labor Code, which acquires transcendental relevance given its social impact and the impact on the lives of children and adolescents, especially in their personal development, emotional, social and family.
