Intellectual capital is a concept interesting and innovative research, recognizing the evolution towards a new economic society, no longer valued for its wealth in capital goods and manufactured products, but in terms of intellectual assets such as knowledge, quality, service marks and relationships, taking great prominence to the intangible competitive business and create value. These new changes taking place in the global economy mean that companies identify, measure and manage their intangible assets, grouped under the heading of intellectual capital. While the literature in this field are different measurement models and studies in business, there is no consensus on what, when and how to measure, which together with the lack of studies on intellectual capital in the coffee business, motivated researchers to conduct this research. This study determines the brainpower in Efigas SA ESP, from the identification and measurement of intangible assets of the company. To this end, we defined clear criteria for the design of a set of indicators related to intellectual capital. After application of the instrument containing the set of indicators, measured over a period of three years, was made a corresponding analysis of the intellectual capital of the company, identifying the strengths and weaknesses in each of its components: human capital, structural capital and relational capital. Finally, based on these actions to be made in improving the management of capital.
