This research aims to analyze the social and cultural factors that influence Maternal Mortality in a specific context. Added to this, it will serve to understand the implications of this death on the family and society, help to denature them, stopping them from considering only a data that occupies an official document, and giving them a voice. Likewise, this research will question the reason of the importance of women in the construction of different family dynamics, based on the assumption that there are imaginaries that have been built on motherhood, gender roles, the family economy, care, their fulfillment as a couple, among others, and that these, have taken a leading role by configuring it within homes and are potentiators of structural gender inequalities.
