This book is the result of an investigation led in 2019 by the Faculty of Administration of the Universidad de los Andes and the Professional Council of Administration. Its main objective is to help identify the professional development that graduates of university Administration programs in Colombia have had with their careers. With a regional approach, given the opportunities and particularities in economic, demographic and organizational matters that administrators must assume, this research established the existence of two trends that are not mutually exclusive: the persistent wage gap in favor of men despite the increase in the participation and quality of women in professional practice, and the constant decrease in down payment wages that graduates find upon graduation. Another notable finding that appears throughout these pages is that despite the turbulence, crises, and modest growth rates, workers with professional skills and knowledge in Management often participate in innovation processes and demonstrate timely adaptation to change. have a long-term perspective (past and present) to face the challenges, which currently require integrating the social and environmental aspects with the economic. This book is of interest to all those interested in the labor market conditions of administrators in Colombia, the quality of training and the relevance of the profession.
