The objective of this paper is to analyze the relationship between university and society as an ally of extension activity for the development of entrepreneurship in Venezuela. Methodologically, it was based on a quantitative approach, a positivist paradigm, with descriptive research, non-experimental, transactional, field design. The population was 31 subjects from private universities in the State of Zulia, Venezuela, using a questionnaire structured by 15 items with multiple response options, validated by 10 experts, obtaining 96% reliability. For the analysis of the information, descriptive statistics were used. It was found that there is a moderate behavior in the university-society relationship, entrepreneurship from the pillars of the extension management of private Venezuelan universities. Concluding based on the results obtained, that efforts and resources must be added in the search for entrepreneurial activities aimed at guaranteeing the common well-being and promoting the success of the services provided, which help to respond to the needs of society through opportunities, studying alternatives generated from cooperative commitment in the university-society relationship.
