Colombia is a privileged country due to its geographical location, it has one of the most desired natural resources in the green business market, the world revolution due to the rise of environmentally friendly products has found in Bamboo a raw material of high renewability and profitability; Guadua is the most abundant bamboo in the national territory, within the existing Colombian regulations, it is regulated and protected under the national environmental system through the competent environmental authorities, reason that motivates this research to determine a normative analysis of sustainable management and the productive use of bamboo-guadua in the departments of Quindio and Cundinamarca. Through qualitative research, a socio-economic contextualization of the sector is carried out and the scope of the regulations set out in the two base departments of the study are described. This review leads us to show the lack of management and recognition by the state regarding the agroforestry powers of the resource, Bamboo-Guadua is the raw material to promote and stimulate economic, social and environmentally sustainable development; By virtue of this, the effectiveness of its regulation is necessary, taking into account its forestry, commercial and agro-industrial capacity.
