This article seeks to show the importance of soft skills in the formation of the Public Accountant. To do this, a digital survey made up of twelve questions was carried out, which was sent to students of different semesters and ages from the Public Accounting Program of the Corporacion Universitaria Minuto de Dios (UNIMINUTO) Sede Principal. Among the results of the research, it was established that 88% of the students would be interested in the fact that within their professional training process (study plan) there are academic spaces where soft skills can be worked, specifically emotional intelligence and leadership that lead to both personal and professional success.
