In the development of man's religious history, important elements in his experience can be analyzed; There are many variants and many roads that appear today, of which in the past it was only one, all provided a better quality of life to man, and deep down everyone had something in common, a path to transcendence. The same happens with the division created by Protestantism, the sects have emerged from the same trunk called the Catholic Church, which over time have been separated by doctrinal discrepancies. In this investigation we will focus in a particular way on the meaning of the cross, on the Catholic conception against the Protestant vision of this sign that is the center of the Church's preaching, because of its meaning and the theological framework that it entails, it becomes many because of scandal and for others a foolishness, but what is the true meaning of the cross in the Christian faith? Could someone have an appreciation of the weapon with which they killed a loved one? Did Christ really die on a cross? Did he die in a tree or on a cross? Are we facing an invention of Catholic doctrine? Is the cross cursed because it was where our Redeemer suffered or blessed because it was where the great event of redemption occurred? These are the questions, which both faithful Catholics and Protestants, ask about the subject and have become the means by which Protestantism attacks the piety that the Catholic church professes on the cross of Christ. In this article, we will seek to give answers and expose the arguments that support the reason for the devotion of the cross and the reason for the sign that represents the Catholic Christians, and how it happens to be a curse by force of God as the Apostle Saint Paul.
