Experts in the oil & gas sector stated that companies in Colombia operate tirelessly to lessen the impacts of the crisis and implement contingency plans, on a par with those recognized globally; however, the challenge is to go at the pace proposed by the Colombian industry. In this research in the collection of information, an online distributed survey is applied to the respondents, determined as a target sample. The responses received identify the variables and critical competences that must be taken into account in a crisis management process in drilling projects and oil well intervention in Colombia. The main bibliographic sources are examined to support the approach of a crisis management model, which is developed specifically from a theoretical state, and then capture the critical variables and competencies, depending on each of its phases, guaranteeing additionally That its last phase has the generation and documentation of lessons learned. Taking into account the importance of response times, the communication channel and monitoring under agile and timely management, within the model the implementation of a kanban board is proposed, as an agile methodology, which allows the state to be quickly and timely visualized of the actions to be carried out in the crisis situation, until the moment when the situation is controlled.
