This research deals with the incidence of the children's symphonic band, as an artistic activity, in development of the creativity of kids form the band Marsella´s culture house (Colombia), which are between six and nine years. Being the creativity a condition of all the people, whose development can be enhanced from the practice of different exercises and activities; and this concept being historically linked to art; there is concern about the potentiating effect of the artistic activities of the houses of culture in the development of children's creativity. With the application of a test of creative abilities to an experimental group and a control group it was possible to determine that children who participate in artistic activities, such as the symphonic band, have developed a greater creative potential than those children who do not practice artistic activities.
