Nowadays, in research articles and journals’ headlines and summaries, as well as on daily conversations, it pops up the word “millennials”, even though everyone gives it different meanings. This generation is pretty alluded and its definition is still confusing for some people and, even its history, which seems pretty long, is actually really recent and unknown. A lot of research has been done about this generation, and there are more to come in a few years, when their performances and behaviors are understood and analyzed. Yet there is still a lot to say about Generation Y (millennials), far less we know about Gen Z, also called centennials, iGen or Generation Z, millennials’ children. About Gen Z, due to their recently birth (the oldest are now 20 years old), there is even less information and knowledge comparing it to other generations, and the research that has been done is focused on older centennials (12 years old and above) and in how they use and consume the internet and electronic devices. If this is the case, we don’t have much knowledge about who they are as sons and daughters, how millennials perform as parents, how centennials interact with older generations, as their grandparents and teachers, and these are the questions this research intends to solve. Discovering about these aspects, will work as steps to finally answer how the relationship between Gen Z children and their millennial parents is. Through this research, I intended to know the Gen Z relations with their environment and other generations in it, focusing in their relationship with their millennial parents, by identifying different daily rendezvous between them and analyzing their ways to communicate. There were chosen three places to identify those moments: at their home, at their school and last but not least, their virtual environment. Also, I was interested in knowing millennials performing as parents, their experiences and points of view. Lastly, I wanted to know a little bit more about Gen Z, who are them and which are their behaviors and habits at these places where their life takes place.
