The micro, small and medium enterprises, known by its acronym as MiPymes, are defined by the world's economies based on specific characteristics such as those referring to the number of employees, the level of assets and amount in sales; but its greatest contributions to Latin America, especially Colombia, is its contribution to the economic and social development experienced by the region. In this sense, they are organizations that according to Lizarazo (2010: 13), have their own historical evolution whose origin dates back to the Industrial Revolution, reaching Latin American countries in the first decades of the 19th century; Since then, humanity has experienced a constant development of knowledge that, together with globalizing processes, industrial innovation, as well as technological ones in terms of information and communication, promote the massive birth of new MSMEs as an option for entrepreneurs.
