This monograph analyzes the needs of the inhabitants of Medellin with respect to the search and consultation of the cultural events in the city, and then makes a design proposal for a technological solution that contributes to covering those needs. The problem arises from the large offer of events in the city and the high number of sites and mechanisms through which cultural activities are offered, finding that there are events with ineffective mechanisms to offer services and many sites that do not provide enough information to the population. In this investigation, a survey was carried out on the inhabitants of the city and factors limiting the promotion of the events were identified, as well as the needs of the users to have other users' opinions available. The observation made includes a quantitative and qualitative analysis based on a perception survey, analyzing variables such as search time, availability of information, means of communication, budget and evaluation, to finally compare and determine the need to design and implement a unified information system for cultural events as a technological solution. Through a technological solution, the aim is to propose a single site for consultation and interaction with the information of said events. The proposed solution includes the design of the solution applying systems development methodologies, showing the processes to be covered as well as the entity relationship model and the architecture on which the proposed design will be supported.
