Bats are animals endowed with multiple meanings that mostly relate to fear and superstition. This affects the conservation of these flying mammals, and few people know the ecosystem services they provide. Because of the above, it is necessary to present, through an affordable language, accurate information about bats. This document describes the process of design, construction and implementation of an in-formative product type education booklet, which the myths and truths of bats were addressed. This book based on an inquiry into the superstitions surrounding these mammals, as well as a review of specialized literature in which general aspects such as the diversity of chiroptera and their ecosystem services were identified. In addition to the literature review, a case study was also carried out in the Mana Dulce Natural Reserve, where the local chiroptero-fauna was studied and an approach to its ecosystem services was generated. The booklet and its contents were implemented through three workshops in a focus group, which consisted of children and adults living near the reserve. Among the main results were the change in the misguided ideas of the workshop participants, the design of an informative product and a continuous reflection on the educator's training in science practices and their dissemination.
