The book gives an account of the results obtained in the investigation of the labor market in the Altiplano of the East of which aimed to analyze the labor supply in six municipalities of the San Nicolas Valley subregion, through a study that investigated variables determinants of the labor supply, to provide information and indicators to organizations, municipal administrations, academics and the general public interested in the subject. The research was carried out as part of one of the strategies that the Observatory of the labor market of the East of Antioquia has, drawn up by the Catholic University of the East, the University of Antioquia, the Chamber of Commerce, the Corporacion Empresarial del Oriente and Comfenalco. This strategy seeks to provide information on the main employment and unemployment indicators for the region, since the National Department (Dane) performs a general characterization based on data from the main urban centers of the country, but not specifically for the region. Additionally, this information seeks to provide greater statistical support for local decision making in relation to the labor market.
