The ecosystem innovations became the spearhead of the economic processes that allowed the expansion of fattening cattle in the Risaralda Valley during the second decade of the last century. The modernization of soil exploitation systems increased the accumulation and concentration of ownership of property and therefore social conflicts. The economic, environmental and social historicity of this territory thus offers new research perspective on the creation of wealth while the destruction and environmental transformation of places subject to the linking of capital and technology.
