This paper aims to establish a description of the accounting career in the last 5 years in the country and the urgent need to revalue the study plans so that the new accountants respond clearly and ethically to the new challenges amid corrupt governments, pointing out the urgency of clearer reviews and opportunities of the auditors and auditors firms that have worked independently. The methodology that has been carried out is documentary with an exploration of more popular cases such as ODEBRECHT and its implications in Colombia. The main results show a comparative table between the firms of auditors and accountants regarding their participation in the most popular cases of corruption and the proposal for the construction of dialogue tables with the support of the Central Board of Accountants and the faculties of accountancy.
