Objective : The objective of the present review was to evaluate evidence on the identification and verification of the presence of psychosocial risks and their effects on the health and quality of life of public transport drivers. Material and method : A bibliographical search of scientific papers and research was carried out in different data bases and in different languages ??on observational studies that evaluated and identified causes or factors that have a direct relation or some type of association with psychosocial risks in drivers of public service. Results : The results were classified as: risk factors and quality of life; psychological dimensions, demands and symptoms; stress and mental burden; management of psychological risks. Discussion and conclusions : Psychosocial risks associated with driving are stress, anxiety, depression and dissatisfaction with working conditions. The review concludes that all public service drivers are exposed to a variety of psychosocial risks, which generate a series of consequences on the health and general quality of life of these individuals, which in turn prevents them from performing its work in an efficient way and even tends to increase the chances of carrying out traffic accidents. Determining the level of exposure and the association of psychosocial risk is not easy, according to the subjective of its identification and the number of variables to include for the evaluation of this type of risk factors.
