The present paperwork seeks to deepen on the relationships that exist among the reading practices and digital convergence, taking as case of study the Booktubers in Bogota, who are people with a wide age range, literature and technology lovers that are dedicated to upload videos to YouTube in which they talk about different books. This study is the exploratory type in which was decided to do a survey and interviews with booktube consumers, booktubers and editorial agents, that presumes to observe the phenomenon among different artists. It is structured in the following way: in the first chapter a reconstruction of sociological sources on the practice of reading was made in the history and in Colombia, its typology, the influence of Internet, youth culture and mainstream about it. In the second chapter, a reconstruction of the phenomenon of booktube is made, deepens the meaning of being and belonging to the community. Also there is a discussion about the most successful booktubers’ profiles to evidence the consistencies and changes in them, also to understand what makes them successful. On the third chapter, an analysis of the surveys is made, in four spheres: educational, digital, commercial and editorial, as well as the incidence of sociability on the Internet. At the end, in the conclusions there are the interesting findings about the reading practice and its relation with the booktube phenomenon.
