Análisis de la prevalencia de la ansiedad, la depresión y el funcionamiento familiar: un estudio de salud mental en los estudiantes de pregrado de la Universidad Industrial de Santander
In this study, an analysis was made of the prevalence of anxiety, depression and family dysfunction of the students assigned to the various undergraduate faculties of the UIS. It was a quantitative research, with a cross-sectional design, with a population of 138 university students, evaluated through the validated and sieve type instruments, Zung Anxiety Scale, Zung Depression Scale and Family APGAR. Regarding the percentage of anxiety, it is pertinent to note that this was 31.20% (being minimal or light 15.90%, moderate or marked 11.60% and severe 3.60%). It is highlighted that the depression figure reached a figure of 52.90% (whose distribution by severity was 5.80%, moderate or marked 16.70% and minimum or slight 30.40%). Around the figure of family dysfunction, it is evident that this reaches a prevalence of 53.60% (being mild 46.40%, moderate 5.80% and severe 1.40%). The results indicate consistently high incidences with findings in national university populations.
