The Colombo-Venezuelan border has been a reference point for several studies, but today it is in force due to the reconfigurations of the political, economic and social framework of the humanitarian crisis that has been going on since 2015. It is for this reason that the present article consists of two starting points that unite in the migratory flows in the border zone until 2017; the first one from a quantitative approach, product of the investigation «Historical-social analysis of the deported families - repatriated from Venezuela to Cucuta (Colombia) and other municipalities: experiences of life in the border context». The second is based on a qualitative perspective, which reveals the impact that this humanitarian crisis has had on the social fabric of the city. The families and the cross-border citizens of the borders are key points in the development of the social fabric of the region. The objective of the research is to analyze the border emergency humanitarian crisis experienced in August 2015, after the unilateral closure of the border between Venezuela and Colombia, from a sociohistorical perspective.
