The objective of this work is to make an approach between the rethoric and politics ideal in Plato's work, focused on the Republic and Gorgias dialogues. In order to do this, I looked for authors like Homer, going back as a first resource, and also working on Thucydides, Xenophon and Aristophanes .This context, particularly the historical one, allows connections between the Greek oratory and politics, for this, I present a brief analysis of the political speeches of Diodoto and Cleon in the Revolt of Mytilene, Nicias and Alcibiades in the deliberation of the battle of Syracuse and the famous Funeral Speech of Pericles, all based on the Work of Thucydides.
