At present the territorial ordering in Colombia is established with the inclusion of a public regulation, which entails minimum requirements necessary to effectively achieve an adequate rationalization of the land, this depending on the resources it has, whether economic or natural. The purpose of this degree project is to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the Territorial Ordering Plan (POT) in different representative areas of each of the socio-economic strata of the city of Barranquilla, considering a long-term vision that promotes the urban development of the city according to the needs of the population that inhabits it. The proposed methodology for its development is also exposed, which seeks to identify the weaknesses related to the implementation of the Territorial Ordinance Plan regarding public space of the District of Barranquilla and to develop strategies and solutions that promote the correct use of the same in the selected areas, contributing to guarantee a better control in future constructions.
