RESUMO : O direito de ser criado e educado no seio de sua familia e um direito da crianca e do adolescente. Quando, por algum motivo, o menor nao puder ser mantido em sua familia natural ou extensa, o mesmo sera entregue para adocao, que e uma medida irrevogavel e depende de processo judicial. O objetivo desse trabalho e constatar a preferencia na faixa etaria, demonstrando qual a idade de preferencia, que resultou nas criancas menores, e indo alem, descobrindo o motivo que os leva a essa escolha. O procedimento ponderou-se no estudo qualiquantitativo, o que foi relevante devido ao foco na demonstracao do indice de adocao de criancas maiores e menores nas comarcas do interior do Estado de Rondonia e as consideracoes dos tracos subjetivos e particulares de cada caso apresentado. Sendo justificado pela importância das informacoes acerca do processo de adocao, contribuindo para o conhecimento da sociedade de forma geral. ABSTRACT: All child and adolescent has the right to be raised and educated in the bosom of their family. When, for some reason, the minor has to leave his natural or extensive family, adoption is the solution to keep the minor rights, which is an irrevocable measure that depends on a Judicial Process. The purpose of this study is precisely to verify the age group preference. There search demonstrates the age preference, which resulted in the smaller children. Moreover, discovering the reason that leads them to that choice. The method research carried out in the study was the qualitative-quantitative one, which was relevant due to the focus on the adoption index demonstration of older and younger children in the up-countries of the State of Rondonia, Brazil, besides a presentation of the subjective and particular traits of each presented case. Therefore, this study justified itself importance for the information about the Adoption Process, contributing to the society’s knowledge on the subject. Keywords: Choice. Age. Family. Children.
