Currently the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) are present in the vast majority of aspects of human life, one of them is education, which has undergone changes due to the use of these technologies and today it is possible learn at a distance, at any time and still have an evaluation and monitoring of the knowledge acquired. This article will show the results obtained by analyzing how much and at what level virtual education helps in the fields of competitiveness and productivity of students who have decided to opt for this system, through the search for different scientific articles that allow to create points of comparison in the strengths and weaknesses of virtual education. In addition, studies that are emphasized both in students 'and teachers' experience will be taken into account to create a more objective position about impact.
