Objective: This research article seeks to analyze the sociocultural dynamics given around the configuration of the relationship between social identity and the cultural landscape in the Embera Chami indigenous community located in the San Cayetano village of the municipality of Supia, Caldas, Colombia. Methodology: From the description and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, the historical identities, constituted by the political, economic, cultural, ecosystem and historical systems of the cultural landscape are realized. Finding: It is known that the cultural landscape is the result of the socio-cultural appropriation of nature, reflecting the social identity and the symbolic and functional assessment of the territory. Conclusion: The research that was carried out within the framework of the project Socio-productive dynamics of cultural landscapes in the municipalities of Supia and Neira in the department of Caldas, Colombia, led by the research group Regional Studies: Society and Culture of the University National de Colombia allowed us to identify how shared identity consolidates and gives meaning to community life.
