espanolEl enfoque principal de esta investigacion consiste en aplicar la metodologia conocida para establecer resultados de oportunidad y movilidad social del estudiante de Fundacion de Estudios Superiores de Comfanorte FESC, mediante datos fiables de la relacion padre – hijo, comparando las relaciones que implican nivel de educacion, ingresos, y posesion de activos determinantes, el bienestar economico y social, asi como el nivel de vida entre una generacion y otra generacion. Dada la caracteristica de la region de ser frontera y la crisis actual, la oportunidad y movilidad social se vera afectada, pues mientras que una de las variables analizadas como es el coeficiente Gini, es mejor para la ciudad de Cucuta frente al coeficiente departamental y nacional, a futuro y por la falta de creacion de empresas para la generacion de empleo, afectara la otra variable clave de resultado como es el ingreso, restando al estudiante FESC oportunidad y movilidad social. EnglishThe main focus of this research consist in applying the known methodology to establish results of oppor-tunity and social mobility for the students of the Higher Education Foundation COMFANORTE -FESC-, by reliable data of the parent and child relationship, comparing the relationships involving the level of edu-cation, income, and possession of determining assets, the economic and social well-being, as well as the living standards from one generation to another generation.Given the characteristic of the region to be border and the actual crisis, opportunity and social mobility will be affected, because while one of the analyzed variables such as the Gini coefficient, is better for the city of Cucuta against the departmental and national coefficient, the future and the lack of entrepreneurship for job creation, will affect the other key of result like the variable income, subtracting the opportunity and social mobility of the FESC s student
