In 2019 and 2020 is expected to Colombia and most of Latin American countries will definitely make the transition to digital television. The technological possibilities of digital television, suggest greater opportunities for interaction and participation in content production, information and knowledge. However, how the population is prepared to address these alternatives socio technological innovation? Is it possible to speak of a true interactive TV in our midst? Are there conditions that make it possible to think of educational processes from the platform that could provide the iTV? This article offers a view at current social conditions in view of the digital shift from participation and education.
