In the Haydee Camacho Saavedra Educational Institution of Togüí- Boyacá-Colombia, the problem of how to dynamize the use and appropriation of technology in educational environments to develop communicative and civic competences in students is presented. which led to the research "Multimedia as a pedagogical strategy to strengthen communication skills and citizenship in students", the objective of the study was to integrate pedagogical strategies to strengthen the communicative and citizenship skills of ninth grade students through audiovisual production through the use of multimedia. The method for the development of the study used an action-participation approach, which from a qualitative point of view identified and characterized the opinions and concepts of the subjects of the research. In quantitative terms, the variable of students' school performance in relation to the communicative competence. Students were able to develop digital and communicative skills to strengthen their psycho-social and citizen skills, tending to resolve their differences in a peaceful way through ICT as a teaching resource that enables reflection and critical thinking.
