The present work has as a purpose to make a diagnosis that allows to demonstrate the current state of the administrative processes of the Voluntary Fire Department of San Vicente de Chucuri, located in the Department of Santander, it is important to mention that at present of the 1,123 municipalities that it has Colombia, only 667 have fire brigades and of these only 19 are Officers, the remaining 648 are volunteers. On the other hand, it should be noted that according to international standards there must be one firefighter per thousand inhabitants, a situation that is not fulfilled anywhere in the country. The livelihood of volunteer fire brigades depends on the management of their members and good relations with the City Hall with whom they sign contracts to ensure compliance with the Law and define the fire surcharge.
